1:1 Peer Breastfeeding Support

Lactation support for me starts with direct one on one support. Our relationship is built on trust and support for you and baby. As a professional and breastfeeding momma myself, I know how important this relationship is and how vulnerable it feels to seek help.

I believe there is knowledge to be gained whether you’re a new Momma or an experienced Momma because every breastfeeding story is different. I also take time to support your partner and support system so they too can feel confident helping you throughout.

Evidence-based Information

A large part of my support is also offering information. Including the benefits of nursing on demand, skin on skin, and how to create a healthy milk supply.

In addition, I offer vast knowledge and education on healthy pumping practices, SNS feeding systems, and alternative milk withdrawal options.

A part of our time together will be focused on supporting you through struggles and identifying potentially troublesome factors such as clogged ducts, mastitis, engorgement, or suspected tongue tie. If the issue is urgent I also have connections for direct IBCLC referrals.

Non-judgemental advice

I approach every family with the goal to support you in your feeding journey without judgment or conditions. You get to set your goals and make all the decisions for baby feeding according to your own intuition, mental health, bodily autonomy, and what you believe is best for your baby.

My goal is simply to direct, educate, and support you in whatever way feels most helpful for meeting your personal goals.

“I was so close to throwing in the towel on breastfeeding right off the bat. I never thought this would be one of the hardest things I’d do…. I got a rough base of mastitis which lasted 3 weeks. Then I got a nipple injury so bad it was one of the worst my IBCLC had seen in 25 years. I continued to nurse, sobbing through feeds. The injury got bigger and bigger until my poor nipple was inverted. With an open wound I got cellulitis…. With the support of @precious3birthservices I learned how to hand express and how to manage my over supply. She walked me off the edge multiple times. She showed me that this journey IS possible. Even though there has been a hurdle to overcome each month, I’m so glad I stuck it out”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Olivia and Precious 3 Birth Services. I purchased a postpartum package due to difficulty with breastfeeding and continued clogs ducts. Olivia is so genuine, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. She was available anytime, all hours of the day. I can confidently say that without her guidance, my breastfeeding journey would have ended a long time ago. 100% recommend! “

“I was having some difficulty with breastfeeding at first, and also hired Olivia to be our lactation consultant. She came over the very next day, helped with latch, and gave us some education regarding breastfeeding and what to expect. Even though this was my second baby and I breastfed my first for over 2 years, I still needed the help. She’s so caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable about birth and all things baby. She came over one more time and was available 24/7 via text/call for anything I needed. Now breastfeeding is a breeze, we are 4 months in.”

Breastfeeding for me was a profound choice…

When I told my mother I was planning to nurse my first born, she said something along the lines of "Eww gross, I didn't nurse any of you." Fast forward six plus years and my mother says "That's so cute" looking over my shoulder as I nurse my newborn daughter.

I believe my story and experience in this work have prepared me to make a difference in supporting families to breastfeed and help shift perspectives to be more inclusive of all feeding journeys.
